Family Coaching

What is it?

Individualized help, based on your needs and your situation. Maybe you’ve tried to get someone you care about to enter treatment, or get help with an addiction. It’s not easy. Even when you succeed, it might not “take”– addicts and alcoholics go “AWOL” from treatment (even very good treatment!) often. They “phone it in” and keep right on drinking or drugging. You can do a lot to make sure that this time, they’ll get the help they need, and a great chance to succeed. We can help.

The first thing most people think about is intervention.  You know– where a group of folks who care lay it all out for the addict or alcoholic and present a treatment option, and the addict or alcoholic goes straight into rehab–happy ending.  But does that actually work in real life?  And how? Check out this video and article series to understand more.

What’s your best Intervention option? You can:

  • Hire an independent Intervention professional.  There are many excellent ones who can help you out with the whole process.  This article provides more information and some resources for finding the right pro.
  • Select a rehab facility that provides intervention help– many do, especially residential programs. You can find more resources to identify which program might be right for your family member in this article.
  • Organize a “Do-It-Yourself” Intervention. You can download our complete guide and just get started.

Those are all good options.

Family Coaching can help you evaluate these options and make the choice that’s best for you. And if you choose “Do It Yourself” intervention, and need a little help with the preparation, family coaching can help with that, too.

What about the cost?

The first step costs nothing. Fill out and send the form below, and you’ll receive a short questionnaire to give us more information about your needs and how to connect with you. From that, we can probably provide some resources and answers to your questions free, and give you coaching options that range from a short conversation at an hourly rate (usually $100 for an hour, $50 for a half-hour) to a package rate of $300-$500 for DIY Intervention help or other services.

How does it work?

If we can help you, we’ll provide coaching by phone or video chat, or in some cases by instant chat and email exchanges. We’ll make payment arrangements that suit your needs, and schedule coaching sessions that work with your schedule.

Let us know if we can help. Remember, the first step costs nothing.
