Scott MChandler Scott McMillin

Scott has created and operated successful addiction treatment programs for more than thirty years. His pioneering work in the treatment of addictions as chronic disorders has influenced many organizations. In addition to co-authoring seven books and numerous articles on addiction treatment, he has provided training to government, higher education, and the private sector, and assisted many families in successful intervention with loved ones. His personal goal is to help programs achieve the best clinical outcomes in the most cost-effective manner.

Pat MPatricia C. McGuire

Pat trained at Hazelden, in Minnesota, in the 1970s. She has worked nationally and internationally to train counselors and develop programs for addiction treatment, including programs dealing with co-occurring issues of eating disorders, sexuality issues, and family dysfunction. She was a pioneer in addressing women’s addiction issues and developing treatment programs for women. Pat is also an author under the Hazelden publishing imprint, and has developed numerous lectures and tools for treatment professionals to work effectively with challenging clients. She is currently developing a new therapeutic model combining focused reading and individual therapy that incorporates spirituality in the maintenance of long-term sobriety.
