Our Code of Ethics
Recovery Systems Institute, LLC (RecoverySI) is a private corporation. We hope that by providing information and services through this website, we will make some money. (Pay-per-download resources, coaching and training products, and custom consulting are all directed at this goal!)
But the reason we’ve chosen to be part of RecoverySI, and the reason we’ve invested in creating this website and filling it with resources, is that everyone associated with RecoverySI believes people with addictive disease need the best possible chance to recover. Most of our resources are free. And all of our resources are focused on getting better results from treatment.
All of our staff, Principals, and Associates are required to comply with this Code of Ethics:
All of our free resources are really free. They are not sponsored, or affiliated with, or subsidized by any third party who expects to benefit from their distribution. All of our free resources may be downloaded, used, reprinted, and distributed under a Creative Commons Noncommercial Sharealike License.
All revenues from pay-per-download resources go only to the author or creator of the resource, and Recovery Systems Institute, LLC. The author or creator of the resource, and any affiliations to other organizations or institutions they may have, are clearly identified for each resource.
Principals and Associates are required to disclose their affiliations with any treatment or recovery programs, institutions, or organizations other than RecoverySI, and that information is included in their CV available on the Principals and Associates page.
Principals and Associates providing Coaching, Training, or other paid services to individuals through this website are committed to serving the interests of the customer only. Any referrals or recommendations they may make are to be based solely on the specific needs and situation of the individual. Principals and Associates are absolutely prohibited from accepting commissions, gratuities, finder’s fees, or other referral-based compensation from any third party for their work with RecoverySI customers.
Principals and Associates may not use their relationship with any customer derived through RecoverySI to market any non-RecoverySI products, programs or institutions. They are, however, permitted to inform any RecoverySI customer they serve of individual counseling or other services they may offer as private practitioners, without soliciting or requesting business. In other words, it is entirely the customer’s choice whether they wish to engage in a further relationship outside of RecoverySI, with any RecoverySI Principal or Associate.
All customer data is private. RecoverySI will not sell, distribute, share, or otherwise provide information on any services rendered, resources purchased or any personal information on any of our customers, their families, employers, or other related parties to any third party without the customer’s written, specific authorization.
If any customer feels that this Code of Ethics has been breached in any way, we request that you contact our Administrator with details. We take such complaints extremely seriously and will work with you to resolve the matter.
